Profile

Peter Eddey is Director of the Graduate Studies Office in the Faculty of Business and Economics at Macquarie University. He is an honours graduate from the University of New South Wales with over 35 years of academic experience. Peter is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants and CPA Australia. As an academic, Peter has published books and monographs as well as research papers in national and international journals, mainly in the areas of financial accounting, corporate accounting, mergers and acquisitions. Peter's teaching interests have been in the areas of corporate accounting and financial statement analysis, principally at postgraduate level. Peter has also been a consultant to public accounting firms, corporations and government bodies.

In recent years Peter has taken on an academic management role and become involved in the design, development and strategic management of postgraduate business programs, such as the Master of International Business and the Master of Commerce programs at Macquarie University. Peter has sought to develop programs that are flexible, have an international perspective and curriculum, are practice based and have a teaching faculty that includes practicing professionals along with Macquarie's academic staff. Peter and his GSO staff greatly enjoy working with Australian and international students and helping them gain the knowledge and skills necessary for a productive career in a global business environment.
