Statistics can also be a major area of study in itself with programs of study including Statistics, Information Science, Statistics and Computing, Operations Research, and Statistics and Econometrics.

At the postgraduate level, the department delivers the Master of Philosophy and the PhD in Statistics, while statistics is a structural necessity for completion of the Master of Philosophy and the Doctor of Philosophy in several disciplines.
