In 2009 the Department of Statistics will be part of the new Faculty of Science and is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants for casual Academic Staff vacancies as tutors and lab demonstrators in undergraduate units.

A person may be added to the pool of potential casual academic staff if they meet the minimum requirements as requested in the standard application form. All persons wishing to become part of the pool must complete this standard form prior to appointment. Successful candidates are advised that they have only been selected as part of the pool and are not guaranteed casual academic employment.

There are likely to be several openings at the start of each semester.

Requirements:

Applicants should have relevant academic qualifications, good communications skills, experience in teaching and/or delivering presentations in statistics.

Rates of Pay:

Pay rates vary depending upon qualifications and duties.  For details please refer to the Macquarie University Enterprise Agreement 2006-2009 located on the Human Resources web site www.pers.mq.edu.au/enterprise/index.html
