Structure of the Course

Master of Applied Statistics 

The program consists of eight units, each carrying four credit points. There is one core unit, which is a project, and seven elective units.

Part-time: Minimum two years or maximum four years. The units are offered in the evening usually between 6pm and 9pm and the normal load is two evenings per week.

Full-time: Minimum of one year, maximum of two years. This will usually involve the candidate taking some lectures during the day in addition to evening lectures. Enrolment in the full-time program is offered each year although it is subject to staff availability.

The program is offered in distance mode as well as face-to-face.

Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Statistics

The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Statistics will be awarded upon successful completion of six of the coursework units offered in the Master of Applied Statistics including the core unit STAT810: Statistical Theory

Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Statistics

The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Statistics will be awarded upon successful completion of three of the couresework units offered in the Master of Applied Statistics.
